Welcome

I am a historian of modern Latin America with an emphasis on Mexico. Overall, my research interests lie in the struggles and outcomes of the politicization of private life. My current book manuscript, Revolution in the Sheets: Sexuality and Tolerance in the Mexican Left, focuses on the issues of homophobia, heterosexism, and hostility towards sexual politics in Mexico's leftist parties and organizations.

I am a proud Philadelphia native with roots that stretch from Puerto Rico to Ecuador. I am also an amateur glassblower. I am currently Assistant Professor of History at Kenyon College and reside in Columbus, OH.
